Pop your head into their room and take an interest in what they are doing when they use the internet

Make sure you sit down and talk to them about the importance of not giving out personal details online (age, address, credit card details etc)

Make sure if they are watching films, TV shows or listening to music that they have come from authorised sources. A full list is available where to watch legally. A big clue for spotting unauthorised content on your computer is if the film is still showing at the cinema!

Make sure your internet security settings are tight (which you can control under ‘Internet Options’ on your Internet Service Provider (ISP) page)

Block pop-ups, as they may contain unauthorised images or direct your children to inappropriate sites (again under Internet Options)
